Cord won his first all around saddle in 2004.  His second all around saddle came in 2007.  The two horses he used were his best mount Mouse.  She is a gray Quarter horse mare that excels in all events.  He and I trained her on barrels, poles and goats.  She was already a team ropin horse, but has done well in the breakaway and steer breakaway too.  We leased a horse named Dollar that had a bad barrel hitting problem, but with some training he and Dollar managed to win every barrel race he entered winning the year end and finals, his times out ran a lot of futurity horses and retired pro horses.  He won the calf riding events as well to secure year end and finals.  He won the goats year end and placed second to one of his best friends at the finals.  In poles he placed third year end and finals against some very tough pole horses.

Cord has won about 20 buckles in his short rodeo career and we look for him to be very successful in the future.  He and his brothers have moved from calve riding to mini bucking bulls.  We have purchased several bulls for them and we contracted and hauled them all last summer, Cord was leading the summer series going into the finals but his long go bull turned back both directions and got the best of him.  Luckily it was his brother Lane that wound up taking home two buckles and the money for First place to end the 2009 series.
